Components of the Master in Tourism and Hospitality
The multidisciplinary nature of this widely recognised business leadership degree, with its emphasis on the international hospitality and tourism industry, allows students to develop transferable leadership skills and apply them across any industry.
The Master in Tourism programme (Parts 1 and 2) will provide graduates with the knowledge base and competencies to critically analyse and research a range of sectors within the international hospitality and tourism industry from different leadership and functional perspectives.
Most importantly, it will encourage graduates to develop appropriate and effective leadership responses to strategic opportunities and challenges which, in turn, will give them a competitive edge in a rapidly expanding and changing marketplace. Part 1 leads to the award of the Postgraduate Diploma, while Part 2 which includes the writing of a Dissertation leads to the award of the Master of Arts degree in International Hospitality & Tourism Leadership.
This exciting and unique programme, which is awarded by the University of Wales, UK, can be completed in one academic year (by full-time students) or two academic years (by part-time students) and is primarily aimed at those managers and aspiring managers who are now ready to move beyond management to leadership positions in their industry or organisation.

MA Admissions Requirements
Students wishing to enter the Master in International Hospitality and Tourism Leadership programme at ALPINE should have the necessary academic ability and professional experience to complete the programme successfully. Most typically, applicants will have an honours degree in a related subject and/or experience of the hospitality and tourism industry. Since all teaching and assessment will be in English, applicants will be expected to have reached the required standard.

All the above documentation is referred to as the student’s portfolio and when received will be examined by Alpine Center’s Registrar and forwarded to the University of Wales for their matriculation and approval. A personal or telephone interview is then conducted between the applicant and Alpine’s Academic Director to complete the application process.
