Ireland – Dublin & The Wicklow Mountains

This is an example itinerary and should be used as a guideline.

Friday

Evening departure by coach from the South of England,  with a refreshment stop en-route to South Wales and the port of Pembroke where we will take the ferry sailing to Ireland where we will arrive early morning.   Cabins are available on-board the ferry at an extra charge should you wish to get a few hours sleep before arrival Saturday morning.  (approx £15 per person)  These can be booked and paid for at the ships reception or you can use the reclining seat lounges free of charge.

Saturday

On Arrival at the Port of Rosslare in Ireland we will continue our journey by coach to Dublin (3hrs) where we will begin our day with a walking tour of the cities sights, including the Liffey Bridge, Temple Bar, Trinity College and the Guinness Brewery, which you can visit (extra charge).   You will have some free time to explore the cities museums & shops during the afternoon before we check in at our hotel.

Accommodation for 2 nights: All rooms are based on 2 people sharing with en-suite bathroom and breakfast included on Sunday morning.  There is a tram link a few minutes walk from the hotel with direct access to the city centre for those that wish to stay out late in the evening to enjoy some traditional Irish hospitality.  (Tram ticket is approx €4 return).

Sunday – Wicklow Mountains Tour. – €25/£25

After breakfast you can join our optional tour into the Beautiful Wicklow Mountains.  Our first stop will be at the ancient Celtic Monastery at Glendoloughbefore continuing to the pretty Village of Avoca for lunch.  There will be a further stop at  Powerscourt Gardens (including admission ticket) and theSugar Loaf mountain before  we continue back along the coast to Dublin for the evening and an opportunity to enjoy some more traditional Irish Hospitality around the famous Temple Bar area.

Monday – Wales & Snowdonia

After an early breakfast at the Hotel we head for Dublin Port and the morning ferry back to North Wales.  On Arrival we will travel through this most scenic part of Britain, including a stop in Snowdonia National Park before heading south into England and home late evening.
