This information shows example itineraries to use as a guideline, please note that the order we visit various attractions may change depending on circumstances or time of year. Please follow the advice of your tour guide and make sure that you are at the various pick up points and departures at the correct times.
Friday
We will travel over night to the wonderful city of Paris by coach and ferry. We will depart from Dover in the early hours of the morning, on arrival in France please note that you will have to put your watches forward by one hour. From Calais the journey to Paris will take about 4 hours, we will make a breakfast stop on the outskirts of the city where you will also be able to freshen up.
Saturday
We will begin the day at the Notre Dame, which you will have time visit and from here, take a sightseeing tour boat along the River Seine (€8) – the perfect way to begin your day in Paris.
To book the River seine boat trip please pay the guide on the bus before arrival in Paris (payment will be required in €).
It is a short walk from here to the Louvre Museum, where you can take lunch and visit this historic museum, entrance costs 10 euro’s, if you are lucky enough to be under 18 then the entrance is free. At the museum there is a large underground restaurant complex with foods from around the world, the cost of the food here is very reasonable compared to the more expensive places in the street close to the museum. During the afternoon you will have time to stroll along the Champs Elysees and visit the Eiffel Tower (€12 for ticket to the top).
Early evening we will then travel together by coach to the Hotel for check in.
Your accommodation:
Rooms at the Hotel are based on 2 people sharing with private bathroom and breakfast included on Sunday morning. Your guide will find out who will share with whom on the way to Paris.
* Note: In busier periods of the year (eg middle of summer) we may have alternative accommodation and possibly have higher numbers of people sharing a room or use a hostel rather than a hotel. *
Saturday evening – Optional Illuminations
You can join our evening illuminations tour Saturday evening – beginning with a visit to Montmartre & Sacre Coeur in the famous artists quarter with its magnificent views over Paris and quaint streets and café’s to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge, followed by an evening illuminations tour with a stop at the Trocadero to see the Eiffel Tower light show before returning to the Hotel late evening.
Sunday – Versailles Optional Tour
After breakfast you can join our optional tour to Versailles where there is a traditional French Sunday Market and you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Chateau of King Louis XIV and the magnificent Gardens, (garden ticket included in Versailles optional tour price). Please note that the tour price does not include admission inside the Chateau (tickets to visit the Palace can be purchased on arrival €15 – but are free to under 18’s with ID).
The coach will depart from Versailles at 1400hrs for the return journey to the UK.
If you do not want to come on the optional tour then you will have free time in the morning to explore Paris. Please check with your guide for the correct meeting time and place to catch the coach back to the UK.

Please book the optional tour package with your guide during the outward journey (admission to the Chateau is not included – tickets can be purchased on arrival @ €15 – free to under 18).
The return ferry/train to the UK will depart France at approx 8pm (local time), arriving in England approx 2030hrs – UK time. (Exact time will depend on immigration formalities. Arrival back at your home town will be late evening or early morning.
